Hi Ian

Please BEFORE you open up the scriptures check out the context and what the WHOLE passage is actually saying. For example Isaiah 53:4-6 which is completely talking about our sinful nature and NOT our bodies.

"He was wounded for our TRANSGRESSIONS, He was bruised for our INIQUITIES, surely He bore our SORROWS and by His stripes we are HEALED ...... and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

The context is talking about SIN. Transgressions is everything to do with our wrong doing and disobedience to God, iniquities is to do with what we are or have become. It speaks of our sinful nature, i.e, a nature that tends/leans towards sin, sinful behaviour, perversion and general twistedness.

This means that Jesus died to save us from our sinful nature and from every individual sins we have committed.

He bore our sorrows which meant that he suffered in our place for all the misery caused by our sin and dealt with the darkness in our souls. All these things were done so that we could be saved from our sins and be brought into a close relationship with God.

So the 4th element "we were healed by His stripes" in context MUST be referring AGAIN to our sinful state. It would not make sense (IN CONTEXT) in isolation of the other 3 for it to refer to natural healing but to spiritual healing. i.e, our separation from God has been healed. It is a healing of reconciliation.

Of course, certain sicknesses are a direct result of sin and are often healed once sin is forgiven. Jesus said "is it easier to say your sins are forgiven, or say rise up take your mat and walk". In that case Jesus demonstrated the effect of that persons sins being forgiven which was physical healing too.

Word of Faith preachers use those verses (as they do in ALL their doctrines) out of context. they are very selective in what verses they teach on and NEVER show you the full context, but MAKE THE BIBLE say what they want it to say.

Justin, To be aflicted as you have and still hold on to Jesus is commendable. I understand that you only want God's will to be done: if God wills to heal me He will, and if He doesn't I won't be healed.
May I encourage to look at Psalm 103:1-5. Here the sweet singer of Israel, David, exhorts us to not forget all Jehovah's benefits, which are all given freely. The first one is to do with forgiveness of sins, all of them (bar one). Is it God's will that we be forgiven of our sins? What if He doesn't want to forgive (release) us from them? How can we know? Well, we have no problem accepting this truth by faith. Thank God that He does willingly and freely forgive us from all sins (except blasphemy of the Holy Spirit). John tells us that we must confess our sins, that is identify with our mouth specific sins we are convicted of. Do we see those sins washed away, we don't see with our physical eyes anything happening in the physical world to prove to us that our sins are washed away. This is the most important and most critical action of God we need in our lives more than any other. How can we be sure that our sins are washed away? We accept God's word which is faithful. And we praise Him for it. When we take hold of God's word firmly yet simply, we say what God says about it by faith, even though we do not see a physical action of washing, though we may well 'feel' clean.
The second benefit David by the Holy Spirit says Jehovah gives us is healing all our diseases. There is no Scriptural prohibition on the healing of any disease like that of sin. God says all diseases without exception. Is it the same God? Has His power been depleted? Note that David puts no limitation on any of these benefits though Jesus and John address the unpardonable sin. Then we should ask, Did Jesus or any of His apostles put any restriction on any one of the other 4 benefits David sings about? How do we receive anything from God? Is it not by faith? What is the Bible's definition of faith? Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Heb. 11:6). Think on the words - substance - hoped for, and evidence - not seen.
If you look at Isaiah 53:4, 5 you may note two things. The Holy Spirit lists two things that Jesus deals with (look into the Hebrew): He bore our sickness, and carried our pains; and He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities. Once again we have no problem about our sins being dealt with. But sins are not mentioned first, sicknesses and pains are, then sins and iniquities. Is God saying something to us here? Put aside all the things that modern preachers say about healing of diseases and ask the Father Himself in your closet what He thinks about it all. Peace in Jesus.

Justin, truly we must contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints. That faith is the one the apostles had from Jesus Christ. Eph. 3:12 and Phil.3:9 both testify that the faith that we have is of God, of Christ. Our faith is in Christ; it is in God. But our faith is a gift from God. It didn't come from someone else. Our faith has its source in God. Faith comes from hearing the word of God. Everything that we have of eternal glorious significance is from God; - Isn't it?. He doesn't give us things that don't belong to Him; - Or does He? Our faith is from Him. If it is from Him surely it must be of Him. Peter says that God's "divine power has given to us all things pertaining to life and godliness through the full knowledge of the one calling us through glory and virtue (2 Pe. 1:3). Faith is connected to divine pleasure, for without faith it is impossible to please God. This means that if we do have the faith He provides, we please Him. God is a God of divine and glorious, holy, perfect and endless pleasure. He wants us to share in that pleasure and faith is obviously His way in which we can enter into His pleasure. It is not possible without faith - His faith. That faith is to those who become as little children, guileless, pure and ready to believe all that Father says. For Jesus said, except you become as little children, you cannot enter the Kingdom of God. Yes, we must contend for the faith. But true apostolic faith is not bound up in denominationalism. It is bound up in Jesus Christ who is Lord over all, and who Himself is not subject to denominationalism. We have to get back to simplicity and purity. We have to get back to seeking God for Himself. We have to come back to Jesus and learn afresh from Him. In Him dwells all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Hi Justin

Great article. I say "amen" to everything you wrote. You are completely spot on!

You have addressed the main points and the major concerns very well. If I wrote an article on this I would have concentrated on those very same issues, especially regarding to what Paul said to the Corinthians in 1 Cor 10 and in 2 Cor 6. There are other things (minor points) you could have said, but the major things HAVE been said.

For example, I could mention how the Illuminati/Masons have used Santa to dupe the world away from pure Christianity. Even the very name santa claus could be an attempt to blind our eyes away from who santa really is, i.e. an anagram santa = satan and claus = lucas (a derivative of "Lucifer").

The Coca Cola Company hijacked santa around the mid 1900's in a coca cola advertising campaign. That is quite telling because coca cola is controlled by the Masons and has as its symbols the masonic "all seeing eye" with the (masonic) owl hand gesture shown above the "eye". So why has coca cola hijacked santa?

I was considering writing an article challenging Christians to stop compromising their pure Christian beliefs at Christmas time and consider taking a stand against the godless traditions/satanic symbolisms. I am too late to publish it this year, but intend to put something together for next year. I hope you don't mind if I use your material next year? Why is it that Christians cease to be Bible Christians at Christmas time?

I wanted to show how Christians are actually condoning and actively spreading the lie by NOT MAKING A STAND or saying anything and especially if they do the very same things. The Bible has some sharp words to say about those who preach against pagan activities and yet still participate in them. For example Romans 2. Paul tells us "do not be CONFORMED to this world, but be TRANSFORMED by the RENEWING of your minds". We are also told to "do not participate in the unfruitful works of darkness but instead expose them" Ephesians 5:11. As Justin has shown, the practice of Christmas is one of those unfruitful works of darkness.

It was the Catholic church who introduced "Christmas" celebrations but not until the 4th or 5th century AD. The early church (whom we should all seek to emulate had NOTHING to do with the pagan Roman festival of Saturnalia of the god Mithras (a latter name representing Nimrod and Baal worship). The early church did not celebrate the birth of Jesus - NEITHER SHOULD WE as celebrating birthdays was a pagan expression of recognising the birth dates of the gods.

Thank you Justin for this article. The past couple of years we have been rethinking Santa Clause. This year we adopted three children ages 9, 3, and 1 and we decided that Santa had to go. We didn't want to lie to the kids and also, what would we tell them? "Santa doesn't visit Colombian children, only American?" We felt that we need to make sure that they understand what we tell them about Jesus and that they would never have to doubt what we tell them. I had never thought about him sharing the same attributes as God but I tell you, since getting rid of him I have noticed how he has totally taken over the holiday that is supposed to remind us about the birth of Christ! It's glaringly obvious that Christ is being replaced in the world by Santa. Thanks for your honesty and for loving others enough to share what God is placing on your hearts. We thoroughly enjoyed your "Call for Discernment" video and hope to see you in person sometime. Blessings.

Praise be to God.

I once was wrapped around and embraced the WOF movement myself from 1987-2003. Many things never sat well with me that I heard come across the pulpit, but I wanted those things I heard to be true, especially since it was coming from a close family member and his ministry. I fell for it all, hook, line, and sinker. I purchased the sermon tapes from most of the major mainstream WOF ministries. I read and listened to the tapes constantly until it permeated my soul. It wasn’t until my uncle had starting preaching about a miracle juice that we all should be involved in that a light bulb went off in my head. I clearly knew better and when I questioned this practice and the miracle drink, my family said I was in “The name of the - Juice denial”. I knew without a doubt that the marketing Multi-Level-Marketing in the church was not proper, let alone MLM itself. I had fallen victim several years earlier to that deception. Oddly enough I could recognize MLM being wrong, but not the WOF doctrine while I sat underneath it. I set out over a period of 6-8 months to gather facts to disprove MLM and give the results to my uncle who was allowing this in the church and across the pulpit. Little did I know that while I was researching about MLM, that God was showing me something else. He showed me the many parallels between the WOF movement and Multi-Level-Marketing. Or how the top on the ladder (Prosperity Preachers) got richer and the poor got poorer from their giving to the Ministry/Preacher in hopes of reaping a harvest. Just as a MLM leader says buy into this program and you too can be wealthy without doing a thing, you only need to get 6 people under you who do the same and presto….magic…you are rich. All the while, the Distributors (those that buy into the program) are the consumers and don’t even know it. Buy this audio/video tape and use these scriptures and principles to get gain! And the money always makes its way to the top (the preachers) and the poor and needed are fleeced of all they have and are left with (product) shelves of books/tapes and DVD’s.
After my research was complete and showed many questionable practices, which included several news clips and such about WOF and MLM and the like, I placed my findings in a packet on my uncles door step and left that ministry never to return unless Jesus was preached and him only. Sadly things have not changed to this date and many hurting, broke and sincere people remained trapped there. The miracle juice has come and gone only to be repackaged into something else. Please pray for all those ensnared by this false teaching across the world, that the scales may fall from their eyes that keeps them bound.
Justins DVD series “A Call for Discernment” series is both revealing, uplifting and a way to share the truth to a loved one that may be caught up in the mess of WOF. Coming out of the movement, it is hard for me to not get emotional when trying to expose this to a close friend or relative, and thus Justins DVD make a perfect fit from a “third party view”.

I clearly knew better and when I questioned this practice and the miracle drink, my family said I was in “The name of the – Juice denial”.
